Puerto de la Cruz celebrates Holi, the festival of colors, with the entire Hindu community next Sunday, April 21 in Plaza de Europa in Puerto de la Cruz, a unique place for a very special celebration, full of joy, where the Hindu community shares its entire culture, including its rich gastronomy.

At the presentation of the event, which was attended by the mayor of the city Marco González and the president of the Club India Sunil Rijhwani, the consolidation of this commitment by the City Council to organize this celebration to continue promoting multiculturalism was evident, "also making the entire Hindu community a protagonist, which has had so many roots in the city for decades.” For his part, the president of the Club wanted to thank the City Council for once again organizing the Holi “in such an excited way so that we can share again the happiness and joy of the beginning of spring, so that good prevails over wrong, which is the meaning of our Holi.”

“We are very proud to host this second edition of a unique opportunity that our Hindu community offers us to share its culture and its joy, in a day of happiness, music, dance and coexistence that is an authentic delight as it was demonstrated by the success of this celebration last year," stressed the mayor, who was also accompanied by Tourism Councilor Roberto Medina and Sheri Masala, in charge of Bollywood dance, who mentioned that everyone should "come with comfortable and light-colored clothing, as the tradition dictates.”

This day of festivity, which will last from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m., invites visitors and residents to discover one of the most popular traditions in India. The colored powders will fill the Plaza de Europa with joy, also accompanied by a dance show, the best DJ music with rhythms from that country and an exquisite gastronomic offer that will transport all visitors to India, to savor the multiculturalism of a community that has so much to offer.
