The Mogán City Council, after requesting the corresponding authorization, has installed a 700-meter swimming lane that connects the beaches of Anfi del Mar and Patalavaca.

This structure, installed with the collaboration of the Marina Anfi del Mar, is one more step in promoting the municipality as an ideal destination for outdoor sports.

The excellent climate and the practical absence of wind and waves make the aforementioned enclave the ideal place for the implementation of this structure. Thus, a safe natural space is made available to athletes in which they can carry out their swimming training, since it is delimited by buoys and does not allow the passage of boats. The canal starts from the Anfi del Mar beach dam and ends at Patalavaca beach.

This action is added to others promoted by the City Council to improve and diversify the municipality's tourism offer. Among these, the celebration of sports events of great international recognition such as Anfi Challenge Mogán Gran Canaria, a triathlon that last April brought together more than 40 professionals and exceeded 400 registered participants from 27 countries, as well as Free Motion Desafío La Titánica, the most hard from the Canary Islands to which more than 270 athletes joined this year. But also with actions such as the installation of bicycle repair stations in median areas or the rehabilitation of more than 30 kilometers of trails. The latter will soon be complemented with new services for hikers, specifically with an interpretation center and the shelters that will be launched in Veneguera and Barranquillo Andrés.
