The City Council of Teguise, led by Mayor Olivia Duque, has officially approved the construction of a new Lidl supermarket in Lanzarote.
Teguise is the former capital of Lanzarote, and during the week it's a very quite town. But on Sunday Teguise comes to life and all the streets are filled with market stalls.
The market in Playa Blanca takes place two times every week, so if you're coming to Lanzarote's southernmost resort and you want to do some holiday shopping, you need to plan a visit here.
