The La Oliva City Council is implementing measures to provisionally unblock the sunbeds and umbrellas service in the Grandes Playas hotel zone. These actions are carried out with the aim of meeting the needs of tourists and guaranteeing a quality tourist experience in this popular coastal area.

The Department of Tourism of the City Council of La Oliva, informs that the sunbeds and umbrellas service on Grandes Playas will be free this summer until its contracting is awarded through a public tender.

For a time, seasonal services, such as sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bars and sports activities, were in a precarious situation. To address this problem, La Oliva City Council has worked in collaboration with local suppliers to implement a provisional contracting formula. This formula guarantees at least 700 sunbeds and 300 umbrellas in Grandes Playas, Corralejo, a coastal town with a very important tourist activity. This provisional measure aims to save the summer season and ensure that the beaches of Corralejo enjoy these much-demanded services.

From the Department of Tourism, David Fajardo assures that "this provisional measure is expected to provide an effective and temporary solution while the implementation of stable and sustainable seasonal services in the future is properly processed."

On the other hand, the mayor of the La Oliva City Council, Isaí Blanco, has highlighted the importance of this commitment and has thanked tourists and hoteliers for their patience and understanding during the provisional implementation process. Likewise, he has reaffirmed the commitment of the La Oliva City Council to provide a quality tourist experience and guarantee the safety and comfort of visitors.
