The Canary Islands have become a popular destination among tourists from mainland Europe, with many people returning to the island over and over again, due to the great weather all year long.

During the month of May, the capital of Tenerife will be celebrating its tradition and culture, especially since the city will also celebrate 523 years of existence and history.

The Council for the municipality of Granadilla de Abona has announced a series of cultural events, which will take place between 7 and 15 of April this year. All the events are free to participate in and they will be spread out between 3 towns in the municipality: El Medano, Los Abrigos and Granadilla.

Semana Santa or The Holy Week in La Laguna represents a time when the entire town gets dressed up for the festivities and the churches get prepared for the large amount of people that arrive for the processions.

Tenerife - the largest of the Canary Islands and the most popular among tourists. With a beautiful weather all year round, Tenerife is a popular beach destination even during the winter months, when temperatures are still in the mid 20s range, especially in the south.

Playa Radazul is located in the center of the town with the same name, close to Santa Cruz and in the municipality of El Rosario. This beach is also known under the name of Litoral del Rosario.

Playa de La Nea is situated close to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the small resort called Radazul. Due to its proximity to the capital, many residents come to this beach, especially in the weekend during summer months. At other times the occupancy is low at this beach.

In 2015, the beach of San Telmo has gone through a major renovation and a ramp for wheelchairs was added between the old chapel and the beach. Many residents come here so you will get a chance to interact and learn more about the real life in Tenerife.

Loro Parque is probably one of the finest theme parks you will find in Europe, with lots of animals from different species. Visiting the park is a great idea for families with kids, but adults will enjoy it just as much.
