The Spanish National Police announced a significant operation targeting organized crime and drug trafficking networks, significantly impacting the Sinaloa cartel's operations in Europe.

According to Spanish authorities, this intervention has effectively dismantled the Mexican cartel's infrastructure in Spain. During the operation, police seized 1,800 kilograms of methamphetamines—a key element of the cartel's European activities—and arrested five individuals, including one Mexican national.

The Spanish Police revealed that the Sinaloa cartel's operational hub was located on the Mediterranean coast, particularly in Valencia and Alicante. These cities are not only among the highest in drug consumption in Spain but also host two major ports through which the cartel allegedly smuggled drugs into the country.

The Police reported in a statement that this operation has dismantled the main supply hub for synthetic drugs in Europe, which was operating out of Tenerife, Madrid, Valencia, and Alicante.

On Thursday, the heads of the Drugs and Organized Crime Unit of the General Commission of the Judicial Police, along with senior officials from the Canary Islands and the Valencian Community, will hold a press conference to discuss this operation and display the seized materials.
