Woman falls to her death at Roque Nublo in Gran Canaria

A woman has died after falling from a high altitude in the Roque Nublo area,  Tejeda municipality, on the island of Gran Canaria, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of 112 of the Canary Islands.

A helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands was dispatched to the location, where the rescuers reached the victim and confirmed that she had sustained injuries incompatible with life.

After receiving the necessary authorization, they recovered the woman's body and transported it to the helipad at Pozo de Las Nieves, where it was handed over to the judicial authorities. Firefighters from the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium and the Guardia Civil participated in the operation, along with environmental personnel from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria. A SUC basic life support ambulance was also deployed.
