Worker dies at Gran Canaria airport after being hit by road roller

A 58-year-old man has died after being crushed by an asphalt machine while working on the runway at Gran Canaria Airport, as confirmed by the Guardia Civil.

The incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22. The man was working on the runway when he was allegedly run over by the asphalt machine operated by a colleague.

Medical services arrived on the scene and provided assistance, transporting the man to a hospital where he later passed away.
