Tenerife launches new marketing campaign targeting 10 million Germans

Turismo de Tenerife, in collaboration with meinReisebüro24, launches a campaign meant to attract potential German travelers through video projections in the stations of Hamburg and Munich.

The Cabildo, through Turismo de Tenerife, in collaboration with the network of meinReisebüro24 agencies, began last Tuesday, August 1, an omnichannel promotion campaign through which they intend to reach 10 million Germans.

The Vice President and Minister of Tourism, Lope Afonso, explains that "the viewer has the impression of being splashed with water and, therefore, is aware of the advertising." From there, and through a tracking technique, after a few hours, they will receive a type of video advertising in the apps that they use regularly, which include links to the landing page of meinReisebüro24 with the theme "Tenerife awakens emotions", where they can even book their vacations to the island".

For two weeks, images of the island of Tenerife will be projected in the main station in Hamburg and in the Karlsplatz metro station in Munich, through which 450,000 passers-by circulate a day and about 200,000, respectively. The advertising shows a kitesurfer who seems to be "jumping out" of the image thanks to a 3D animation. The goal is to attract potential travelers between the ages of 25 and 55 interested in outdoor, nature and lifestyle experiences.

The director of meinReisebüro24, Rainer Gnyp, says that "We want to get people excited about our campaign." And, furthermore, "exploring volcanic landscapes and laurel forests, climbing the highest peak in Spain, relaxing on picturesque beaches or surfing: all this is Tenerife", he emphasizes.
