The Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Canary Islands Government rescued two hikers in distress in Tenerife on Monday, June 5th.
According to the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 112 of the Canary Islands Government, the women strayed from the trail and ended up in a high-risk area in Santiago del Teide.
A GES helicopter carried out the challenging rescue, which was made public in a video on social media showing the dangerous ravine they had reached.
Both women were hoisted into the helicopter and evacuated safely to the Adeje helipad.
