The Canary Islands expect to see a rise in temperatures ahead of Easter in 2022, as a mass of warm dry air from the African continent is starting to make its presence felt, although its effect will be more visible starting from Saturday.
Temperatures will rise especially in the eastern part of the archipelago, meaning Lanzarote and the south of Gran Canaria and in some parts of Fuerteventura they will reach up to 35 ºC.
Saturday forecast
Slightly cloudy skies with intervals of high clouds in general.
Low probability of haze starting in the afternoon, mainly in the eastern islands. Temperatures will rise, being more notable also in the eastern part of the archipelago.
Easter Sunday forecast
Slight presence of haze in the eastern islands, also possible in some parts of Tenerife.
Temperatures will continue to rise, and at midday, they exceed 32 ºC in inland areas of the southern half of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, in midlands facing south and southwest in Gran Canaria, and on the southwestern slopes of Tenerife and La Gomera.
It is also possible that in some inland areas of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote temperatures will exceed 34 ºC.
