Man drowns in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote

A 50-year-old man lost his life this Tuesday afternoon after drowning in Playa Grande, in the municipality of Tías (Lanzarote), as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 112.

In this sense, the beach surveillance and lifeguard service rescued the man in cardiorespiratory arrest from the sea and began resuscitation maneuvers, which were resumed by the SUC upon arrival although they finally had to confirm the death. The Local Police and the Civil Guard carried out the corresponding procedures.
