With only a few days to go until the beginning of the Carnival in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, everyone is looking forward to the street parties and celebrations that make up the life of this huge event in the Canary Islands.
The Municipal Planning Department has authorized the extension of the closing hours of nightlife during the street parties in Santa Cruz Carnival on June 24 (Friday) and 25 (Saturday).
This means that the venues located inside the Carnival ring will stay open until 5 a.m. on Friday and until 6 a.m. on Saturday when the street music has to stop.
Outside the carnival ring, those places that function as nightclubs with after-hours parties will be able to stay open until 1:00 p.m., so with this measure, the party will be considerably extended during the dates of the Santa Cruz Carnival.
The inauguration of the carnival will take place on June 3 at 9:30 p.m. at the Fairgrounds with the Rondallas premiere, while the Queen Gala will take place on June 10 and the street parties will begin on June 23.
Thursday, June 23, will be when, starting at 9:00 p.m., the street carnival parties in Santa Cruz will start.
On Friday, June 24 at 7:00 p.m., the Carnival Parade will take place, followed by a huge street party as well, with different stages distributed throughout the streets of Santa Cruz. On Saturday, June 25, the Day Carnival will be held, which will continue until it merges with the second night of carnival.
On Sunday, June 26, the Daytime Carnival will be held, which will end at 8:00 p.m. with the Rhythm and Harmony Contest on Anaga Avenue.
