Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival is a unique type of event in all the Canary Islands, which is celebrated with a lot of "soul" on the beach in San Agustin, close to Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles.
The concerts during the festival take place from Friday until Sunday, and they are dedicated to the entire family, so everyone from children to their grandparents is expected to participate in the event.
The 8th edition of the Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival will be celebrated in 2028 on Playa de San Agustin in Gran Canaria. The event will include “some of the best soul and rhythm & blues voices from both the national and international scene.”
There will be three days of music in an atmosphere that will touch your soul, featuring artists like Wendy Moten, Jonathan Ellison, Jerome Chism, and Gerald Richardson, all prominent figures in contemporary African American music.
The prestigious Memphis Music Hall of Fame Band will perform on stage for the first time in Gran Canaria, showcasing the sound of great soul artists.

The concert lineup will also include two national projects, the Gran Canaria-based City Dock Band, and Martha High & Julián Maeso Organ Trio. Completing the lineup are selectors Sergio Miró (who will also serve as the presenter), DJ Vamp, and Mr. Kangrejo. Rick Hutton will once again be the master of ceremonies.

Up until now, prominent names in the soul music genre such as Tony Wilson, Khylah B., Wendy Moten, Chilly Bill Rankin, Jerry Jones, Annika Chambers, LaRhonda Steele, Steffen Morrison, Ernie Johnson, Missy Andersen and John Ellison have participated in this popular event in Gran Canaria.
Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival has been declared an event of local tourist interest in 2017 and since then it keeps growing in importance. At the moment, this is the only festival dedicated to soul music happening in Spain.
